The high demand led to the Mint depleting available inventory and producing additional units to meet the published mintage limits. The 2026 Congratulations Set, issued annually since 2013, reached 39,195 units before inventory was exhausted, with year-over-year comparisons made more straightforward by the inclusion of a West Point-minted proof Silver Eagle in most editions. The 2026-W Proof American Silver Eagle, sold individually, recorded opening sales of 295,410 coins, with W proof sales data also reflecting units sold in 40-coin packs to authorized bulk buyers, though this total was not included in the latest report. The Mint is awaiting a response for clarification. The 2025-W Proof American Silver Eagle, launched the previous year, saw combined sales of 363,993 coins across various formats, with a four-day combined opening sales of 213,731 coins. The U.S. Mint's top sellers for the week ending March 1st included 634 numismatic products, with no products recording a week-over-week gain for the second week in a row. Sales momentum increased, with 87 products topping their previous gains, up from 70 the week before. Two products posted week-over-week declines, both by fewer than 3 units. The report also includes sales data for various commemorative coins, silver dollars, and other products, with some products no longer available or having no reported sales.
