Get ready for a magical reunion! Ariel, the beloved mermaid from Disney's live-action adaptation, is swimming back to her original home at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
But here's where it gets intriguing: Ariel's meet and greet location has been a bit of a journey. Initially, she charmed guests at Walt Disney Presents, but a temporary move to Echo Lake near the 50's Prime Time Cafe offered a different experience. This shift began on October 28, coinciding with the festive holiday meet and greets.
Now, Ariel is set to return to her original spot at Walt Disney Presents on January 12, as per the official Walt Disney World website. The hours for this enchanting encounter are listed as 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., giving fans plenty of time to dive into the magic.
Ariel's original space is a sight to behold, designed to resemble the terrace of Prince Eric's seaside castle. In contrast, the Echo Lake location was rather plain, with only a row of tall potted plants and a wooden treasure chest as props.
And this is the part most people miss: Walt Disney Presents has been a hot spot lately! A new preview center for upcoming Walt Disney World projects has been installed, attracting attention with Taylor Swift's Eras Tour costumes and holiday displays featuring The Muppets Christmas Carol.
Ariel's live-action journey began on May 26, 2023, the very day the adaptation hit US screens. Directed by Oscar-nominated Rob Marshall, this film has been a hit with fans.
The animated classic also received a new show at Disney's Hollywood Studios last year, adding to the excitement.
